Fretboard Maintenance: Deep Cleaning The Fretboard

Even if you wipe your guitar down after every use (and be honest, how many of us are really that pro-active), grime still builds up over time, especially where the frets are seated into the wood. How to Deep Clean the Fretboard.

• Apply a liberal amount of Wraith Deep Fretboard cleaner onto a soft, lint free cloth and apply to fretboard. Heavily soiled fretboards may need a heavier application.
• Allow the fretboard cleaner to soften any built-up dirt for a minute or two.
• If there is build up of dirt under the frets, use a toothpick or soft bristle toothbrush to gently scrape away the dirt.
• Using a clean lint-free cloth and a little elbow grease, wipe the fretboard clean.
• Heavily soiled fretboards may need to have a second application of Wraith Deep Fretboard cleaner to remove stubborn dirt.
